Second Saturday Book Club Continues in April~

Bring a brown bag lunch and help choose the first book to be read for our monthly meetings.  Participate regularly or occasionally, whatever works for your interest and schedule.

2012 Selection Choices: primarily reading fiction, with nonfictions once every 3 months or so.

BACKYARD BIRDING THIS SATURDAY


Backyard Birding for Beginners

Rosenberg Library



Come learn about the birds in Galveston’s backyards. This program will cover common birds found in Galveston's backyards for the beginner bird watcher and hints on how to attract particular birds by an avid bird watcher, Pat Jakobi.



Pat is also a photographer who has a blog, www.imagesofgalveston.com featuring photos and field notes from her local explorations. Her photographic images tend to focus on the ephemeral nature of island life and birds. She is a member of Galveston Island Nature Tourism, sponsors of FeatherFest April 12 – 15 of this year.

This program will be at the Rosenberg Library, 2310 Sealy Street in Galveston on Saturday, March 10th, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the McCullough Room.
